Buitenplaats Holten is located at the foot of the Sallandse Heuvelrug on the border of Twente and Salland. This park is ideal for people who love peace, space and comfort in a natural environment. The park is spacious and atmospheric, with a large pond, flowers and plants.
Facilities of Buitenplaats Holten
The luxury chalets at Buitenplaats Holten have French windows with a private outdoor terrace with garden furniture. This allows you to enjoy the sun in good weather. The pond in the middle of the park creates a cosy atmosphere. Buitenplaats Holten is a small-scale park with a number of facilities. Outside the park in the village of Holten and in the town of Rijssen, both within a radius of 5 kilometres, you will find plenty of entertainment. Go golfing at golf course de Koepel in Wierden or take the children to the swimming pool Twenhaarsveld in Holten.

Buitenplaats Holten is situated between the village of Holten and the town of Rijssen. From the park you can literally walk into the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Enjoy the heath and forest. Take long cycling trips and walks and admire the beautiful views from the various hills. During your stay, be sure to visit Natuurdiorama Holterberg in Holten. Here you can admire one of the largest collections of European animal species in the Netherlands. In Rijssen, you will find great shops and good restaurants. Learn more about the town's history at the Rijssens Museum in De Oosterhof castle. For a canoe trip or a boat trip on the river Regge, Rijssen is also the place to be.

Good base for cycling trips in the Salland countryside.

Huidsje was beautifully situated by lake

Positive experience:
Quiet little park beautifully laid out. Accommodation was satisfactory. The grounds were very well maintained despite being under construction.

Points for improvement:
I missed the personal contact. Unfortunately had no interest in internet, accommodation did not open. Difficult to reach anyone by phone, only in English. Fortunately we had nice neighbours who could speak English. I then waited a long time for a technician.

Smoke from burning wood for the hot tub is not very environmentally friendly and unhealthy for the respiratory system.

Positive experience:
Luxury cottage, everything you need in and around the house is there. Playground for the children you can look on that is really top

Improvements:
Beds were super super super bad. Small uncomfortable chairs, you miss something of a nice lounge garden set. We took beds from the pool to be able to lie outside.
You do very much look in on the neighbours, so theirs on you too.
With us the cleaning was not well done, think hoover in the middle of the room with the plug still in the contact. Bathrobes were not there (other houses we were with had that) where you do pay a lot for. It was full of flies on arrival.
The hot tub does take longer to heat up than it says it will.
