Located next to the village of Montguyon at the confluence of the departments of Charente, Gironde and Dordogne, the campsite of La Motte welcomes you in a haven of peace from spring to autumn.

This campsite, in the middle of nature, is the ideal place to recharge your batteries and discover the numerous hiking trails. It is also the ideal point for excursions or to go to the sea.

As for services, you will find a snack bar with wifi connection.

Peace and quiet, a warm welcome from the owners, cleanliness, space between pitches. Activities organised by the owners to create a friendly atmosphere with the campsite residents. A much appreciated bonus.

We had an excellent stay at this campsite. The owners are really pleasant, warm and welcoming. It's a very quiet campsite, close to nature and very clean. There is an indoor swimming pool with deckchairs, a bowling green and children's games. Small downside... There's not much for teenagers apart from the pool and pétanque. We have 2 teenagers but we went on excursions every day to visit (there's a binder given to us on arrival to find out what to visit, where to eat... very comprehensive! Very comprehensive!) and this type of campsite suits them, as we like the peace and quiet. It's a campsite where there's room to move around and play on each pitch, unlike those closer to the beaches where the mobile homes are stuck together. We have fond memories of this campsite.

No frills tranquil place. Stayed there twice for one nice each time and never had a problem.

Only negative is that some of the tent pitch areas are too close to a septic tank and sometimes the smells blows over

At first glance this looks minimal but don’t be fooled, this is a treasure of tranquility, charming in its understated elegance and friendliness. The owners are Dutch who run, manage and clean the site, and it’s spotless.
The grounds are gorgeous but it’s the sounds that work their magic on you...

Dutch-owned. A pleasant, no-frills campsite. Very quiet and peaceful. Pitches are grass and reasonably flat. The site is well-maintained and there are plenty of electricity points (reverse polarity). The Sanitaires are very clean. Wi-Fi is free though the reception is not that good. There is free fishing...

Lovely welcome from lovely lady owner who spoke better English than me! Excellent sanitary falitilities, pretty, peaceful, well kept site with huge pitches. Small lake, nice play area/aocial area, walking and cycling from site in the midst of vinyards - just lovely. Recommended.
