Camping Le Capeyrou is situated in Beynac-et-Cazenac in the Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in a region that offers an almost infinite variety of landscapes. It is situated on the banks of the river Dordogne. The Capeyrou offers you its heated swimming pool with a view of the feudal castle of Beynac.

On the spot, you will be able to do kayak/rafting. Children can meet their friends on the playground or go for a pony ride. You can discover the castles by mountain bike or on foot. In the immediate vicinity you can swim in the river or stream.

The location was very good, the campsite as well, but the lodge tent presented at the time of the reservation did not correspond to the tent we finally occupied: less rooms, less beds, no kitchenette with a water point, too little storage space, old design tent with holes in the double roofs, mould stains in some places and difficult to ventilate. Luckily the reception was top notch and the person on site had really cleaned up the place. Next time I will go directly to the campsite to check this information before booking.

I cannot recommend this site for anyone needing clean, good quality facilities. Investment is needed, particularly with the dated toilet blocks (no deep cleaning evident, erratic hot water, inadequate hand-dryers etc.).

Internal tracks throughout the site (which would greatly alleviate the mud problems...

Fantastic picturesque backdrop, well worth visiting. I’d go back tomorrow. The peculiar interesting fact was the higher you go up the better cheaper the restaurants become. But this is partly offset by the fact that virtually all cuisine revolves around duck.

Our last stay at Capeyrou was back in 2022, but the standards are as high as ever and many sites could learn a lot from this site.
All of the staff are accommodating, polite and a pleasure to be around. The Pitch they sorted us was fantastic and the view fantastic.

Excellent Campsite if travelling to the Dordogne region

When we first came here last year we initially booked for 2 nights and lft a week later, the staff could nt have been more friendly helping with pitch availability and choice.

This is a busy but a really quite site and the bar closes at 10pm.
