Accommodation basic and needing some TLC, site is great

Just back from 10 days at Bella italia, staying in a bungalow. The accommodation was (as others have said) basic and needing some TLC, but fine. Shower was great and always hot. We had an issue with our air con - one unit constantly pumped out hot air with no option to shut it off. Reported twice to... reception but it wasn’t fixed. Hope this is done before the summer months..! The other two units in the bedroom were effective but incredibly noisy and beeped a few times every 5 mins or so meaning we couldn’t leave them on overnight.
Tip - take plenty of hangers for clothes
(barely any provided). If you’d like to dry/style your hair take a portable mirror or extension lead as there are no plug sockets near the mirror.
The site itself is brilliant - clean, plenty to do, food and drink quality is very good. The pools were freezing but again they are brilliant - loads of slides etc. Location of the site is excellent. Supermarket is well stocked, we loved the fresh pastries every morning for breakfast. All very reasonably priced.
We paid around £40 per night and overall feel we got the accommodation we paid for. I probably wouldn’t return as we’ve explored this area, but would recommend it to others as a convenient base.
Incredible! Don’t want to go home!!

The caravan isn’t the cleanest or most luxurious we’ve stayed in, however it provided an incredible base for what has been a beautiful break! We spent a day in Milan and a day in Venice, all in easy reach of the resort via train, the swimming pool is lovely, with plenty of slides to keep the kids... entertained for a whole day (albeit not heated so I’m glad the weather was nice!)
If you go, eating at ‘Bella Cucina’ onsite (building with red and white porch area) is a must as the food is amazing and the service was lovely too!
If you venture into Pescirina town (10min walk) you MUST try La Cremeria for ice cream! It was absolutely incredible and the ladies are super friendly! It’s been incredible!
Great site with a few downsides!

Great site! very basic as expected, only things i can be negative about is there being no heating in the cabin as far as i’m aware. And how close they were to each other. All in all a great holiday would reccomend! the price is great and the amenities are ideal for families
Don't miss

Totally understand that everyone's experience and reviews are their own but some of the negative reviews on here are a bit odd.
We're a family of 4 and visited during October half term and can honestly say it was our best ever holiday.
Let's start with the accommodation, we had a two bedroom Ibiscus... apartment which while 'basic' as some have described, was absolutely fine for 4 people, there was a fridge, gas hob, microwave if you fancied cooking. The benefit of this type of apartment is that all linen is included and we got a change of towels midweek.
The beds were comfortable and we all enjoyed a great night's sleep, only bug bear was we had a ground floor apartment so could hear our upstairs neighbours move chairs, but that's life and they probably could hear my snoring!!
The site itself is fantastic, situated in the shores of beautiful Lake Garda it had several restaurants (which were amazing), onsite supermarket (who sell gorgeous brioches for breakfast), football pitches, tennis courts and pools. We were very lucky with the pools as they were supposed to shut in September but were still open for most of our stay, and if you don’t fancy swimming in the pools or the water park have a nice dip in Lake Garda
One thing to note though, like most European places there is a hygiene requirement to wear a swim cap in the big lap pool.
The site is 35-40 minute stroll along the shore of the lake to the gorgeous town of Peschiera del Garda, which while it not offer the bustling nightlife of a big city is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or a negroni
The train station here also connects with Milan, Venice, Verona and onwards and there are bus stops at the site entrance to take you to some of the other pretty towns and villages along the lake.
Great holiday apart from the weather

Wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the reviews on here. However we had a great time. We visited the week before UK half term and Into half term. The first day they were hosting a Dutch football camp. Was quite busy but no bother. It rained most of our stay but we still managed to get out. Take... an umbrella if you go sep/oct time. The walk into Peschiera was along a promenade and about 15/20 minutes there’s a few cafe/ restaurants along the way. We took a boat trip from Peschiera, it was an hour and cost €20 per person. We also got the train into Verona. Cost us €6.90 for all 3 of us. Great value. We visited the children’s museum in Verona. Well worth a visit on a rainy day if you have children. My 7 year old loved it. We visited Gardaland. If you get to the main station in Peschiera they run free buses to Gardaland and back. Again my 7 year old loved it. Plenty of rides and you can spend the whole day there. We also visited the sealife centre. It was good but don’t expect to spend much more than an hour there. We booked a combo ticket for Gardaland and sealife. You could visit the sealife either on the same day as Gardaland or the day after, my recommendation would be to visit it on the day you visit Gardaland as it seemed a bit far for us to come again the next day just to spend an hour there at the sealife. We visited in the afternoon after a morning in Gardaland then went back into Gardaland to finish the day off. Gardaland was great and really set up for Halloween. Such a great day.
The campsite itself was fine, lots for kids to do. Be warned the pool was freezing. Although we didn’t think they’d be open as it said they were only open till end September I think. However they did open them up on the 2 sunny days we had. No bother getting a lounger in the afternoon. Pools closed at 5.30. We ate at all of the restaurants. All fairly decent. However our favourite was the one up past the hotel. Not corta riga, the one to the left of the hotel. Supermarket had most of what you would need. There is also a gift shop and pharmacy on site too. We used the train most times to get to Peschiera, fun for the kids and reasonable value. All in all we had a good time. We stayed in oleandro bungalow. Small, and dated but absolutely fine for what we needed it for. It was clean. I liked the fact they give you a disposable mop head. So you know it’s a clean one and can throw away at the end of your holiday. We didn’t have any complaints.
