Kompas Camping Westende is located in the Belgian coastal town of Westende. A cosy campsite with holiday homes where you are guaranteed a wonderful stay by the sea! The domain is less than 10 minutes' walk from the beautiful North Sea beaches. Whether you enjoy a nice walk in winter or an ice cream in the sun in summer, Kompas Camping Westende offers you a wonderful time!

Facilities Kompas Camping Westende
On the grounds of Kompas Camping Westende you will find a boules court, tennis court, volleyball net, mini-football field and a basketball court. During the summer months an entertainment team is present on the campsite, so you won't have to sit still!

Children's facilities Kompas Camping Westende
Children can romp around in the adventure playground. If the sun is not shining, they can play in the covered play barn with its numerous toys. During the summer months the kids are entertained by the Kasperclub, part of the entertainment programme. This way the children are kept busy and make new friends during their stay!

Thanks to its central location, Westende is an ideal base for trips to museums and attractions, various villages and of course long walks on the beach! Visit Veurne, for example, where the 17th century still lives on. Beautiful historical buildings like the town hall, the Vleeshalle and the Spanish Pavilion show this well. Head to the famous seaside resort of Ostend, 15 kilometres to the north. Stroll through the cosy shopping streets and enjoy delicious fresh fish on the Vistrap. Visit the Butterfly Garden in Veurne where you will see a colourful collection of butterflies. In Ypres you will find Museum In Flanders Fields, an interesting interactive museum about the First World War. Want to know all about marine life? Then Sea Life Centre in Blankenberge is the place to be. At the reception of Kompas Camping Westende you can find mapped out cycling routes through the varied surroundings.

Positive experience:
Everything was great all round. We had a late arrival, reception was already closed. Great communication by email, they always responded very quickly and someone was there in the evening to give us the front door key. The whole complex is very well maintained and clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The site is also in a great location.

Points of improvement:
The road to the chalet was sea bad (full of potholes and puddles). Needs to be addressed urgently.
